Rowing.MU - Mauritius: My name is David and I would like to raise funds to launch a rapidly gaining popular and new adventure sport in Mauritius namely Coastal Rowing. As a result, it intended to become an Olympic event in the near future. The funds would be used to purchase new coastal rowing boats and equipment. Mauritius is a small island in the Indian ocean with a population of 1.2 mil people and around 2.2 mil tourists every year. The plan is to run a development & training program for its citizens and residents as well as offer leisure outings to tourists and specific touring packages to experience oars-persons from around the world. I'd also like to host an annual international coastal beach sprint regatta which would draw considerable media attention in the rowing fraternity.
