Background:

I am a 20 year-old student at New York University and I am starting a business to help all women take pride in their appearance. I have always struggled with my confidence in my physical appearance--weight, height, hair texture, you name it! When I started college, I developed a habit of painting my nails often and treating them in a way that they were able to grow quickly and with little maintenance. Many people, even strangers, compliment me on my nails; they ask me if my nails are fake because they are unbelievably healthy and long. I feel extremely good about myself now and I never could have imagined how much my DIY manicured nails can make a difference in my self-esteem. The boost in confidence is comparable to buying a new pair of heels or losing a few pounds; the only difference is that I don't have to spend much money, dedicate much time, or risk losing my newfound confidence at any point.

 Today there is a movement for women to go natural: no artifical nails, press-ons, extensions, weaves, or harsh transformative chemicals. I am raising money to cover the startup costs for manufacturing and establishing a viable e-commerce store.
