Rocky is a puppy Boxer that my family and I recently got from a breeder about 5 months ago. Recently we noticed that Rocky was walking painfully and we took him to the doctor to see what that problem was and they diagnosed him with Hip Dysplasia. The doctor said for him to live a healthy, pain-free life he must under go Triple Pelvic Osteotomy surgery. The surgery is done on younger dogs with the potential of complete joint damage is already done. The surgery basically involves cutting the pelvis in 3 places which allows the surgeon to rotate the hip sockets to better fit over the femor heads. The pelvis then heals into this new and better position. This is another surgery done by specialists and is quite expensive. After talking to a couple surgeons in the area we got a price of $3,150. That $3,150 would be for just the surgery alone, nevermind all the other essential dog medications, food, etc that he'll need for the next several months. Unfortunatley our family isn't well off enough where we can pay for this and it wouldn't hurt us financially so that's why we've asked for your help! Any donation is appreciated. Thank you everybody!
