Roberto and Shanni met at a CPR/First Aid Class in June 2013. After two movies, a picnic, and dancing at Robinswood Park in Bellevue, they were officially in a relationship with each other at the end of July 2013. After an incredible summer together they had to part. Roberto was going to start his first year at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett and, a little later on, Shanni was going to start her second year at Western Washington University in Bellingham. Before they left, they told each other they loved each other. A long distance relationship was tough, especially since their romantic relationship started not long before they had to part. It was difficult, but it allowed them to grow and to be very intentional about their relationship. Their love grew and grew for each other. They also grew as people through their relationship. Their faith in God grew. They learned to be vulnerable with one another and to trust one another. They brought out the best in one another. The relationship has not always been easy, but it has always been worth it. They love to laugh together and to listen to one another. Finally on the 31st of December in 2014, Roberto proposed on the big ferris wheel in downtown Seattle. Shanni, with much surprise and with much joy, said yes. They are young and in love and are very excited about getting married. They would love to invite lots of friends and family to share their joy with them on their wedding day. They need help to make their wedding happen. Please donate so they can share this special sacrament and celebration with many of the people they love.
