Robbed of everything and shot in a brutal farm attack, please help

Dear kind hearted and sympathetic crowdfunders

My mother and I were recently shot in a violent farm robbery on our cottage in the Oori Nature Reserve near Lanseria airport.

We were both in hospital for almost a month.

My wounds were very serious and I'm extremely lucky to be alive and walking. I had a bullet enter through my ribs, damaging my lung and destroying my spleen before lodging in my sciatic nerve, compressing my spine.

I spent two weeks of my hospital stay in ICU where I had my spleen removed, my lung drained of blood. my spine surgically decompressed and various bone fragments removed.

My mother was shot in the stomach and had surgery to repair her intestines and the trauma caused by the bullet entry.

Unfortunately we had just cancelled our household insurance and were in the process of insuring a few personal items, valuables and needed electronics when we were robbed and we not yet covered. We were totally cleaned out, our work and personal laptops, electronics and most of my shoes.

We run a small language and translation business together and having both being out of action for a month, business took a serious knock.

We've worked hard together to build things up and are strong, willing and determined to come back stronger than ever but we need your assistance with the funding to purchase new laptops (essential for our work) and cover our rent for the month as we get back on our feet.
