Campaign Story
My name is Raphael Tambwe I am a 27 year old performing artist, singer, songwriter, model and actor and I am married to Andrea Tambwe who is a dance and health instructor and self employed business owner and we reside in the beautiful city of Cape Town South Africa
On the 8th of March 2020 my wife and I received our biggest blessing yet. At 00:35am and 00:44am my wife gave birth to two beautiful and healthy baby girls. The year 2020 symbolises double, and we definitely received our double blessings. Being self employed meant that we quickly needed to get back to our income routines but as we all know on the 15th March 2020, President Cyril Ramaphosa declared a National State of Disaster in South Africa, due to the spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19).
As part of the preventative measures , we are forced to stay quarantined to prevent the virus from spreading. Due to these measures events (festivals, socials, shoots, club gigs etc) either had to be cancelled or postponed to a later date. This directly affected my wife and I due to the fact that we are both self employed and work in the entertainment industry. On the 9th of April the President announced an extended 2 week lock down which puts us in a further position of uncertainty, the President hasn’t confirmed when exactly the lockdown will end or if it will keep being extended. This puts us in a very vulnerable position, especially after just giving birth to twins who’s survival depends on their parents income. Your support will be greatly appreciated during these uncertain times and will assist us with our essential needs.
Kind regards
The Tambwe’s
