Revive The Armchair Theatre

Friends, neighbors and fellow Obzians!

For all of you that have missed your local bar and hang out, for all of you that have longed for a stage for music and arts on your doorstep, for all of you that mentally meander back to the glory days of Obz and wistfully wish for their return, the time is rapidly approaching. The Armchair will soon be reopening its doors to the public!

Yes, we are reviving and reinventing The Armchair, bringing back the good of the old as well as the promise of the new. Downstairs will be the familiar, but significantly acoustically improved stage for live acts, DJ evenings and other performances. The bar will run as ever before and delicious snacks and meals will be offered in the back. Once we have finished renovating and designing the outside space, you will have a green lung to pulsate with at the heart of busy and bustling Obz.

For those of you traveling far and wide for yoga and other similar physical activities, there will be no need to brave the traffic as we will be opening a movement studio upstairs with classes starting at 6 in the morning into the early evening. Are you keen to teach? Let us know!

Next to this we are opening Obz first coworking space, with access to desks, fast internet, lockers, the best balcony on Lower Main and, if you need, an official address for your business including mail delivery service . Are you keen for a space to work in peace? Let us know?

We will reopen The Armchair in the spirit of the old but with a view to the new, a place for artists and creatives to meet, and a stage for tomorrows great acts to cut their teeth.

The Armchair rises and falls with Obz. As the Armchair now shakes off the dust and mothballs of its hibernation to shine like the jewel of Lower Main Street that is its destiny, Obs also rises!*
