Respite for Rene

Dear Family,

**** NOTE: CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION BELOW--- do NOT tell Rene---it’s a surprise....

In attempt to provide Renee with a much needed respite from these long months of caring for Aunt/Grandma/Sister Beulah and her family, I would like to take her on a woman’s faith based retreat. If we all contribute a little each.... it will be a burden on no one. I have set up this account so that all contributions can be made directly. You can also contact me if you want to contribute in another way. 

This is of course voluntary. I will keep everyone’s actions confidential, whether you contribute or not. The $300 needed for the retreat is broken down below; however 100% of anything raised above and beyond this will be given to Rene directly to help with anything else she sees a need for.... so please be as generous as you want and can.

 I have attached the links to the retreat center so you can see how rejuvenating this would be. I went last year and it is an AMAZING experience with the best food I have eaten in my entire life. And best of all the total amount listed below is ALL INCLUSIVE---the conference, hotel room, lots and lots and lots of amazing food, entertainment and fellowship with other women of faith. I am going on the retreat as well so I will be there with her and we will be sharing a room.

Rene is aware that I am trying to plan a trip. She knows the time frame but she does not know the where/what. It is my HOPE to keep this as much of a SURPRISE for as long as we can....I ask that you not say anything to her or around her until she knows. I want to make sure we can make this happen before it is presented to her.

It is my understanding she has made arrangements for the kids to be taken care of while she is gone for the weekend.

Note: The $120 travel expense is estimated- I rounded up to allow Rene to take the bus OR drive to me in Albany...depending on what she wants to do---if it costs less she will get to keep 100% of the difference. Once she arrives in Albany she will ride with me to the retreat.
