Research Trip to Israel

I am raising the money to take a trip to Israel to educate myself on its culture and history. I am currently working a minimum-wage job, and raising the money myself is proving very difficult while paying college expenses. I am currently a full-time student in a university. I am trying to reach my goal so I can take a week-long trip to Jerusalem for research purposes. I am also hoping to visit Bethlehem and Jericho, if possible. This will not be a vacation for me. It is purely an educational experience that I am very hopeful for and have been looking into its costs.  

The purpose of my research is so I can make my novel, which is in its rough draft stage, feel more realistic. I want it to feel true to Biblical times, and I feel just reading about it will not cut it. I feel that a trip there will really help me put things into perspective. If I could reach my goal, then I could pay my ticket and a few other fees. I am planning to go sometime in late-July. Until then, I will be working as many hours as I can while juggling school to try and raise money to cover expenses such as hotels and food.
