Rescue Ruckus

I decided to rescue a dog from the local shelter. I believe that every dog deserves a chance, and that shelter animals are not broken. I fell instantly in love, and scooped this little guy to take home and love. Little did I know, he would be the one to rescue me. I was so broken emotionally, and suffered from extreme anxiety. He has brought tremendous peace, and joy and happiness to my life. I decided to name him ruckus. And he absolutely lives up to his name.

A week after bringing Ruckus home, I noticed that he was scratching more than usual. So I took him to the vet; and a lot of tests later, it was determined that this little guy has an autoimmune disorder. Pemphigus to be exact. My vet said that Ruckus was very lucky to be adopted before his disorder developed. She said that most shelters would put him down because a lot of people want healthy dogs.

I love my little Ruck Ruck with all that I am. I just don’t have enough money to cover all of his life long vet bills, and specialist appointments required to keep him healthy. I am looking at a major uphill battle finances wise, but I will never give up on this little guy. Please, please help me give this rescue that ended up rescuing me a chance! We are both so grateful for any help!
