Rent assistance

I hope you are well. My fund-raiser is to collect money to pay my rent by the end of February.

I have been unemployed since COVID-19 and finally got my hands on the perfect permanent job opportunity. So the opportunity is in the UK, all processes are done, and I am just awaiting my flight data, which will be within the next 7 days.

Now, since my unemployment, we have started making use of our savings to support ourselves. As you are aware, savings eventually run out.So by July 2022, our savings were depleted, and I started looking at other ways of earning some money. I have tried everything; the one day I thought of just logging into my SARS, and there it was, I had some returns that were still outstanding. I then completed them, and we received some money back, which supported us until the end of December 2022.

Back in the worry boat again, "Where will I gain funds to support my family?" I tried again, sending out CVs and advertising for handyman work locally, but no luck.

In January, the company that I am going to work for in the UK contacted me. In the blink of an eye, interviews were done. All applications have started, and now we are just waiting for the flight data. I am blessed with this job opportunity, as the company has paid for everything so far, even my travel to Johanneburg and Pretoria and back home again.

Now, I will be going over to the UK shortly, but my worries never stopped. I then decide that I will now have to go to my very last resort, which is crowd funding.

I will be ok once I have landed in the UK, but my family in South Africa still needs funding. I sat down last night to re-evaluate our situation and found that if I can just cover the rent, they will be sorted, as we still have some food in the house and some money from selling my car that will be enough to support them without rent.

People, I am asking you dearly to open your hearts and support our fund-raiser. I cannot let my family sit without a roof over their heads, and although I am comfortable in the UK, there is just no justice in this.

I will appreciate every donation greatly.
