The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.

Two years ago Rei was diagnosed with Keratoconus, it is a progressive eye condition where his vision are gradually getting distorted. It does not typically lead to complete blindness, but the condition degrades the vision to a level where one will experience difficulty doing everyday activity. One of the causes of his condition is the frequent occurrence of allergy, it is not a direct cause, but frequent eye rubbing caused by the allergy greatly weakens the cornea.

The Cross Linking Procedure is recommended by the Doctors who diagnosed the condition, it's primary intention is to slow down/stop the progression of Keracotonus. It is possible that if the condition progresses to the more advanced stage, Cross Linking will not be enough and corneal transplant will be needed.

Rei Samson is my partner, he is currently a working student, and getting financial aid from his uncle, and working freelance jobs to support himself.

We were trying to save money for two years now, but until now we were not able to save enough for the procedure and lenses. The reason for this campaign is to raise funds immediately for the procedure because it is already delayed. We are concerned that postponing the procedure further will cause more harm and it will be too late to get it fixed.

We will be needing approximately 240,000.00 Philippine Peso, or equivalent to $4,800.00 for the procedure and lenses.
