What will I use the money for?

I will be travelling to Borneo where I will help build a new school for young teens, re-plant trees to help combat deforestation, educate local people about the effects of deforestation, teach young people English and inform locals on other methods of making a living from the rainforest without cutting down the forest for its palm oil.

Why?

33% of teenagers are deprived of their chance of education. This is a shocking number and we will not only help by building the school, but also helping to educate children - giving them as greater chance in live as possible. Deforestation in Borneo dramatically affects the extremely diverse wildlife. 3 new species of animal are discovered in Borneo every month! If deforestation was to continue, these very rare species could die out and be gone forever. These are amazing species which need to be looked after but are so frequently ignored when beauty firms go to places like Borneo and cut down massive amounts of forest to get Palm used to make products for the make up and cosmetics industry.
