Red Dot Relief is a mutual aid group and collective effort to help displaced families survive war in Gaza.

The group is managed by 5 Singaporeans who came together out of compassion for the sufferings of Palestinians in Gaza. We collect donations and send the money directly to families in Gaza so they can afford to buy essentials like food, water, shelter, sanitary products and other emergency needs.

We are in direct contact with 26 families in Gaza. We verify these families by checking their ID, location, family name etc. Most of these families seek us out online.

Only a few financial services such as Western Union, MoneyGram, exchange offices and money agents/cashpoints are available in the south. We send money via whichever method is most secure and efficient for each initiative.

Here's an introduction and a little back story of each of our 26 initiatives. To maintain the privacy of these families, we will only include the first 3 letters of their names and their photos will be blurred.

Initiative #1: Fak***

Fak***, a 19-year-old boy who is displaced in Rafah, sadly lives with his family of 10. When he first arrived in Rafah, he was forced to seek refuge with strangers as he was unable to find a suitable place for shelter. Soon after, he managed to construct a tent for his family thanks to the generous donations from RDR donors. He deeply appreciates the support received from RDR, as it serves as the sole lifeline for him and his family. RDR remains their only source of help for food and other basic necessities for him to get by each day.

Initiative #2: Red***

Red** is a 22 year old man who is displaced in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah. With a family of seven and having recently relocated from Khan Younis to Rafah, Red** struggles to make ends meet for his family. The generosity of RDR donors enabled him to cobble together a makeshift tent for shelter. He is constantly grateful for the support he receives from RDR to provide food and other basic necessities as RDR remains their only source of help.

Initiative #3: Ran***

Ran*** is a 22 year old man who is displaced in Rafah. He is supporting a family of six - his mother, father, two brothers, and one brother's wife, all staying in a tent. Their plight is so dire that they've resorted to setting up not one, but two GoFundMe campaigns. The first plea is for mere survival, a desperate cry for help in their time of need. The second, seeks funds to evacuate the entire family from war torn Gaza. Each donation is a glimmer of hope in an otherwise uncertain future, as they cling to the promise of escape from their makeshift home. Ran*** continues to depend on RDR as one of his sources of help for food and other basic necessities for him and his family to get by each day.

Initiative #4: Sha***

Sha*** is a 21 year old man who is displaced in Rafah living with a family of 8. He has proven to be a reliable source and help on the ground as he assisted in distributing food to isolated families in Rafah. His father is also one of the RDR initiatives. RDR remains their only source of help for food and other basic necessities for him to get by each day amidst the absence of international aid.

Initiative #5: Amr***

Amr** is an 18 year old boy who is displaced in Rafah and living with a family of 7. They narrowly escaped the relentless onslaught of airstrikes and the menacing threat of direct fire in Khan Younis, their once peaceful home. Forced to flee, they now seek shelter in a tent in Rafah thanks to the generous contributions from RDR donors. Amr** also has to rely on a hotspot connection from others around him to get connected to the internet. Amr*** continues to rely heavily on contributions from RDR for food and other basic necessities for him and his family to get by each day.

Initiative #6: Dan***

Dan*** is a 16 year old girl living with a family of seven. They are currently residing in a shelter school and are requesting financial assistance to purchase a tent. The one mattress and one blanket that she has is shared among her mother, her sister and herself. With the generous contributions from RDR donors, Dan*** is now living in a tent with her family, giving the ladies more privacy. RDR is also working closely with Dan*** to revive a central kitchen in Rafah which had to cease operations due to the lack of funding. RDR aims to continue providing funds to support this central kitchen which is capable of feeding thousands in the community.

Initiative #7: Dee***

Dee***, who is just 19 years old, was forced to leave Abasan Al-Kabira for Rafah. Now, she resides in a tent as her home is shattered by the occupation. Yet, amidst her own turmoil, she clings to hope, finding solace in aiding other displaced people in the community, particularly children. With the aid of RDR, she strives to bring a semblance of normalcy to the lives of displaced children, offering them food and clean water through her tireless community efforts. But beneath her selfless acts lies a heart heavy with sorrow, burdened by the weight of displacement and uncertainty. Dee*** has a GoFundMe running which is focused on raising funds to support her community work.

Initiative #8: Hal***

Hal***, at 34 years old, faces a desolate reality. Her husband lies critically injured, her three children martyred by the merciless bombardment of Israeli airstrikes, leaving her world shattered. She goes about her daily life alone, severed from any means of communication as her phone was obliterated in the chaos. Displaced, she fled to Rafah, where she sought for a transient shelter amidst the uncertainty. In Rafah, she sought for solace in her friend, Nev***, also one of the RDR initiatives. Nev*** shared her situation with RDR and soon after, we took Hal*** as one of our initiatives. RDR remains Hal*** only source of help for food and other basic necessities for her to get by each day.

Initiative #9: Has***

Has***, aged 77, has a family of 5 depending on him. He finds himself trapped in the suffocating grip of poverty and dependence. Unable to provide for his loved ones, Has*** faces each day with a heavy heart, the specter of uncertainty looming over their future. RDR has been supporting his family as an attempt to end the cycle of his hardship and despair. We remain as Has*** only source of help for food and other basic necessities for him and his family to get by each day.

Initiative #10: Hud***

Hud***, 30 years old, finds herself adrift in a sea of adversity. Torn apart from her family, she navigates the harsh realities of life with an injured husband and four young children clinging to her side. Born in the north, her journey has been one of displacement, forced to first flee to Khan Younis and now to the desolate streets of Rafah. Hud*** is now living in the ruins of a dark and crummy car garage. RDR has devoted to supporting Hud***’s monthly rent for her car garage shelter alongside her basic food supplies and other necessities as we remain to be their only source of help.

Initiative #11: Ima***

Ima***, aged 36, bears the weight of her family's struggles upon her shoulders. With 14 family members depending on her, her burden is immense and unrelenting. In a desperate bid for solace, she and her family uprooted their lives, venturing a little further north to Deir al Balah to join the ranks of about 200 other displaced family members. Ima*** is receiving support from her family members in the diaspora.

Initiative #12: Kha***

At just 19, Kha*** is burdened with the weight of responsibility far beyond his years. With a family of nine, they huddle together in a tent beneath the rubble of their once vibrant home. As the North continues to become a direct target for airstrikes and relentless bombings, getting in contact with Kha*** continues to pose a heavy challenge due to network disruptions.

Kha*** is desperate for aid and clings on to the fleeting hope of donations from RDR, a lifeline that could offer him and his family the chance to survive another day amidst the ruins of their shattered lives.

Initiative #13: Khe**

Living with a family of 13 and a lone cat, Khe***, 20 years old, struggles to provide for her family. They scrape by, paying rent for two cramped rooms on the first floor of a destroyed building. Khe*** is selfless, often sharing the food aid given to her with her neighbours, rarely asking for more donations and always grateful for what has been bestowed upon her. With no other sources of income to rely on, she and her family cling to the donations offered by RDR which serves as their only hope to stave off the encroaching darkness of despair and uncertainty.

Initiative #14: Mah***

With a family of five, Mah***, aged 35 and his 3 children are still living in the last remnants of stability in their home in Rafah. Yet, even within the familiar walls of their house, desperation looms large as he attempts to sell his house just so he could evacuate his family out of the relentless turmoil of Gaza. Mah*** sees no other option but to sacrifice their home, their refuge, in a desperate bid to secure a future for his 3 young children. Mah*** continues to be grateful of the donations from RDR as it is his only source of help for food and other basic necessities for him and his family to get by each day.

Initiative #15: Mah***

Mah***, aged 32, finds himself drowning in the depths of despair as he struggles to keep his family of ten afloat. Married with three young children and responsible for the care of his parents, his world crumbled when they were ruthlessly expelled from Khan Younis during the harrowing Al Nasser hospital siege. Left with nothing, they held onto the fragile hope provided by donations from RDR, piecing together a makeshift tent. Mah*** continues to cling on to the fleeting promise of aid from RDR as his only source of help to simply survive another day.

Initiative #16: Nad***

Nad***, just 19 years old, struggles to support her family of 9. Nad*** rarely asks for more than what is given as she is always grateful for what has been bestowed upon her. With no other sources of income to rely on, she and her family cling to the donations offered by RDR which serves as their only hope to stave off the encroaching darkness of poverty and uncertainty.

Initiative #17: Nev***

Nev***, aged 40, is a mother of two children. Her world crumbles around her as she battles the relentless onslaught of breast cancer. The war-torn landscape has robbed her of the vital medical treatment she desperately needs as hospitals are reduced to rubbles with essential medical equipment left to malfunction. As she reaches out to RDR, we emerge as a beacon of hope, offering a lifeline through funding of her medicine. With no other source of help, Nev*** relies solely on the support and aid from RDR for her basic necessities and medical treatment.

Initiative #18: Nou***

Nou***, a mere 20 years old, finds herself thrust into the role of caretaker for her family of 4. The recent loss of her grandfather weighs heavily upon their hearts. Her grandmother, burdened with high blood pressure and diabetes, is dependent on medications they can scarcely afford. Meanwhile, Nou***'s own mother battles a heart condition. Nou*** pleaded with RDR for nothing more than a humble tent to shield them from the harsh living conditions in Shakoush. Nou*** relies solely on the support and aid from RDR for food, medication and sanitary supplies.

Initiative #19: Rah***

Rah***, at 36, bears the weight of caring for her family of six children. Forced to flee their home in Khan Younis by the occupation, they made their journey south to Rafah. The occupation forced them to dispose of their bag of clothes and other essentials as they made their way south, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their body. Their journey led them to the desolate streets of Al Fukhari. Desperation grips Rah*** as she pleads for the most basic of necessities - a tent to keep her and her family away from the streets and to shield her children from the biting cold and relentless rain. With the generosity of RDR donors, we managed to provide a tent for her family and RDR remains to be her only source of help for food and other basic necessities for him to get by each day.

Initiative #20: Roz***

Roz***, 21 years old, used to seek refuge with her mother at Al Nasser hospital. Now, they find themselves adrift in the desolation of Rafah. With nowhere else to turn, they cling to the comfort of a tent, a feeble shelter purchased with donated funds from RDR. Their refuge is nestled in the forsaken lands of Al-Mawasi, in the area of Shakoush. As mobility continues to challenge her mother when visiting the communal toilet, she has requested for funds to build a floor toilet near her tent. RDR remains to be their main source of help for food and other basic necessities she provides for her family. Roz*** is running a GoFundMe campaign created by RDR, upon her request.

Initiative #21: Ruz***

At just 26 years old, Ruz*** bears the weight of caring for her family of eight - her parents, her 3 children and her two brothers. Her husband, cruelly taken from her in a recent airstrike by the occupation forces, leaves her alone to navigate the harsh realities of life. After being forced to flee their home in Khuza’a, their refuge is the cold, unforgiving garage of the Al-Arubi area in Al-Fukhari, Rafah. Desperate for any glimmer of hope, Ruz*** clings to the lifeline of donations from RDR, praying that they might offer some semblance of relief amidst the endless sea of sorrow.

Initiative #22: Saj***

Saj***, a mere 21 years old, escaped with her brother from the horrors of Al-Nasser siege to find a fleeting refuge in Rafah. Amidst the chaos and despair, she selflessly dedicates her time to easing the suffering of displaced children and orphans, her own pain serving as a poignant reminder of their shared plight. Now, burdened by the added responsibility of raising money for journalists risking their lives to document the tragedies unfolding in Gaza, Saj***'s heart bleeds with the weight of their collective struggle. Desperate for aid to continue her noble efforts, she clings to the fragile hope that donations from RDR might offer a glimmer of relief in their darkest hour of need.

Initiative #23: Saj***

At just 21 years old, Saj*** bears the responsibility for his large family of 10-15. Amidst their desperate flight from Khan Younis to Rafah, they were forced to leave behind Saj***'s ailing father who is on medication. Each day is a relentless battle against despair. With no means to ease his father's suffering and no respite from the constant struggle, Saj*** turns to the distant hope of donations from RDR, praying for a miracle to lift them from their despair.

Initiative #24: Sal***

Sal***, cousin to one of our initiatives (Roz***), is a mere 20 years old. He finds himself adrift in displacement, cast out from Khan Younis to Rafah alongside his parents in a desperate bid for survival. With the aid of donated funds from RDR, they pieced together a flimsy tent to shelter them from the unforgiving terrain of Al-Mawasi in the area of Shakoush. Desperate for assistance, Sal*** launches a GoGetFunding campaign, pleading for donations to secure a Fitzbah Taktak, a motorbike cart that could offer a lifeline of income in their desperate plight. Their needs are basic - winter clothes, mattresses, and above all, a sturdy roof over their heads. With no respite in sight, they cling to the distant hope that generosity from RDR donors might offer a glimmer of relief in their darkest hour of need.

Initiative #25: Sha***

Sha***, a mere 19 years old, shoulders the responsibility for her family of six. They seek refuge in a makeshift tent from the unforgiving landscape of east/central Rafah as they were forced to flee their home in Khuza’a by the occupation forces. Though they received some aid from compassionate souls, their suffering knows no end. Amidst the bleak tent community of Tal Sultan, they shiver in the biting cold, their bodies racked by the cruel grip of hypothermia. Urgently, they seek kindness from RDR donors to provide their basic food supplies and other life necessities.

Initiative #26: Sha***

Sha*** is 20 years old, living with a family of 15. Cousins with one of RDR’s initiatives, Khe***, whose own struggles mirror her own, they share a silent bond of suffering. Khetam has quietly extended a lifeline of sustenance to Sha***'s family, purchasing food for her with donated funds by RDR in a desperate attempt to stave off hunger. It is only through the intervention of compassionate donors from RDR that Sha*** and her family find a glimmer of hope, as they are taken under our care.
