I am Leah Fortuin based in Cape Town, South Africa. A bubbly student with a flair for dramatics who lives, eats and breaths Music.

WHAT YOUR DONATIONS WILL BE USED FOR

The reason for my fun me attempt if to fund my first Debut Album/EP. I have been wanting to start this journey for the longest time but just felt I was ready or mature enough of a person to share with the world. Now as a 22 year old young lady I do believe I am ready to be heard and to speak out positivity to the world. As a student it is not the easiest thing to fund this venture which is why I have decided to turn to my friends, family and Africa.

Please note that no matter how small your donation may be, it will be appreciated by me and spent with the most gratitude in my heart!

Exact use includes(but not limited to):

  1. Recording and Production costs
  2. Mixing and Mastering costs
  3. Promotion and Marketing costs
  4. Digital aggregator costs (to help get the music on all big digital platforms)

More about me

I was born on the 8th January 1996 and I am sure I came out my mother’s womb singing the C Major scale just for the drama. I have been singing since I could talk and always had a passion for music. I started singing at church as most of us singers did. In primary and high school I took part in almost every talent show that was held and either came first or second place. I was known as the singer and later on in high school adopted names such as Brenda Fassie and Whitney Houston. My dream was to be a music student but it was easier said than done to convince my parents, not because they didn’t believe in my dreams but it is not the easiest career to succeed in. After high school I studied Professional cookery for a year but it was not where my heart was. I then quit and took a gap year. During this year I managed to convince my parents to send me to Music School and now I am a student in my second year at the Campus of Performing Arts, Cape Town campus.
