Campaign Story
Rebel is a 6 year old Rescue Basset Hound. He was found wandering the streets. He was very under weight and had an ear infection so bad that his ears had closed up. He also had really bad teeth. I took Rebel home with me to help get him better. He has now put his weight back on and had an operation on his teeth and gums (funded by myself). He has been on many ear drops for his infection but nothing has cleared it up so now he needs another operation costing £1500 - Below are details of the operation:-
Total Ear Canal Ablation Surgery
This is a procedure used to manage severe canal or middle ear disease in dogs where other methods of treatment have failed.
The full name of the procedure is Total ear canal ablation with lateral bulla osteotomy
(TECA + LBO) but most surgeons use the term TECA for convenience.
