Reach for a dream

Our son is an intelligent and hard working student. Even in the midst of various emotional situations in his life causing emotional turmoil he still works extremely hard and is ranked second highest in his grade. Due to all his hard work and dedication he has been selected from a handful of outstanding students to have the opportunity to go on a Math and Science Tour for Young Leaders in Europe. This is one of the greatest opportunities anyone in our family has ever been afforded. Unfortunately we are a middle class family, of which my income is the only constant income. His father works on contracts when they come up, and we often do not get to see him due to work taking him away from home.

We need to raise at least R40 000 for the Math and Science Leadership Tour. With the high school fees and a daughter at university I have no idea, except to ask for help on how we can make this dream a reality for him.

Being the type of person who is also always trying to involve myself in charities and helping where I can I actually feel guilty for even thinking of asking for help... I know there are so many other more worthy causes for saving lives and feeding hungry mouths. People who probably need this more then we do. We may not have a lot but God blesses us every day.

My stepson and Step daughter has been a blessing in my life and it would mean so much to me to be able to help this dream become a reality for him.
