Ramadan Food Packs for Widows in Pakistan

Our Widows support group meet every month over a warm nutritious meal in Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan.

We are delighted to extend our help during the islamic holy month of Ramadan and look to supply suitable staple food packs for widowed and destitute families in their community.

One food pack containing rice, flour, sugar, tea, pulses, nuts and dates will cost just £25 including transport to the village - this will enable the most vulnerable to open and break their fast until Eid next month.

The contents are as follows:

5kg Rice. 2kg Chapati Flour. 1kg Chickpeas. 1kg Lentils. 500g Vermecelli Pasta. 500g Tea. 5kg Sugar. 1ltr Diluted Juice. 3ltr Cooking Oil. 1kg Nuts, Dates, Dried Fruit. 500g Rusk Biscuit.

TOTAL = 3600 PKR (£20)

Volunteer transport and snacks during charity activities = (£5)

Ramadan begins on 5th May and we look to support 30 widowed and vulnerable families in the village we hold our Widows monthly meal programme.
