To Whom I Hope To Enlighten: 

Before I provide you with a detailed description of the Canadian Charity, I would like to passionately elaborate on my experience prior & post knowing of Rally4Life.

I am a 25-year-old recent graduate living in Kelowna B.C- with a strong passion to make my mark on making a difference in the world. I could have taken the 'professional & formal' way of writing a description, but chose to stay true to my own words by expressing the importance of the non-profit organization Rally4life means to me.

Last summer, while volunteering for an Integrative Cancer Centre at Peachfest , I came across a vibrant tent promoting a ‘Stand up paddle’ event. Reading an information pamphlet, which enticed all proceeds go to fund costs for specific projects. I questioned myself? How could I not be overwhelmed and intrigued with the mission that states, 'to relieve poverty through the provisions of safe water, sanitation, education, sustenance, and shelter to families in need around the world’? This grabbed my attention and fed my courage to approach the person leaning against the booth smiling back at me, with a total positive impact. It so happened that I approached one of the founders- Jackie Jenning-Bates, who dedicates her time and passion to the Canadian charity. Her focus, streamlining along the charities’, is to organize and promote their upcoming extreme sport or events that are solely focused on an end fundraising goal: to make a difference.

Here is their difference making:

 The difference being made depends on raised funds required to build, supply, facilitate and educate these places in need. Once the funds have been generated, specific to costs of the project, both Mark & Jackie Jenning-Bates, along with other passionate advocates, travel to these areas to finish what they've set out to do. In fact, remarkable amounts of people just shy of 5,000; have been positively impacted as a result of the thousands of dollars raised. Every raised dollar is 100% donated to the charity dedicated to life-changing projects. Rally4life is set on making a positive change in poverty amongst us & to further educate those in need to aid in future sustainability & knowledge.

The next project is for founder Mark Jenning-Bates, along with other officers within the navy, to complete a 650 KM run within the African outback.  I am planning to travel with the Rally4Life team but will need to help raise funds for the runners and other advocates before I can start raising funds for myself.

With good intentions, I encourage you to take a moment to read further about Rally4life and how you can truly make a difference. Any amount, whether it is in cents, dollars, encouragement or spreading the word will be of a great appreciation to me as it all counts to my goal of making a difference.
