Rain Man – Rain Boy

Hi, I am Jordan's aunt and want to take a few minutes of your time to raise awareness of the plight of Jordan my 17 year old nephew who has autism.   Jordan can not understand the world around him, he can not socialise with others, he can make himself understood and he doesn't understand any emotions that are offered to him, he is 17 but has a mental age of 5.  My sister has given up her life and so much more to make sure that Jordan is safe and has a chance in life but is struggling financially, she can not work as she has to be there for Jordan 24/7.  Jordan is leaving his special needs school this year to venture out into this confusing world he can't understand and will need to try and seek employment somewhere doing something that doesn't involve socialising with others.

My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and has had to struggle through a mastectomy and chemotherapy as well as be there for Jordan who doesn't understand what is going on with his mum never mind the impact that cancer has on her. I would like your support no matter how small in order to raise awareness of the plight of a young boy with Autism who is struggling through life with a mum who is also struggling and has given up her life to ensure his life is protected and made safe.   Your support with this cause would raise money to support them both to make life just that little bit easier financially and should my sister no longer be there for Jordan he will be safe in his own little protected world.  Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
