Rachel’s Costa Rican Sea Turtle Conservation Externship

Hello friends,

I have some exciting news! I have survived my first year of the Veterinary Technician program at NCC and am now tasked with accumulating externship hours. Our school has many options to complete these hours, but I saw the opportunity to blend my favorite activities together and get school credit at the same time.

I have established this page to help raise funds for an amazing trip I will be taking to Costa Rica in mid-July. I will be working with LAST (Latin American Sea Turtles) through AEI (Animal Experience International) and will be in Costa Rica for 2+ weeks. While there I will be working under the direct supervision of the onsite marine biologist and their research assistants.

Anyone who donates can feel good knowing that the money will go directly to the conservation efforts being put forward by LAST. Most of us aren't able to work with sea turtles in person. Raising money to support conservation groups like LAST goes directly towards saving turtles and their habitat.
