Race for Life – Frances Jamieson

This page has been set up in the memory of Frances E Jamieson who lost her battle with Colon cancer in 2012. Every year since members of her family have ran either the 5K Race for Life in Glasgow, taken part in Tough Mudder or ran the Glasgow 10K.

In total we have raise over £4000 in support for the Colorectal Surgical Research Fund whose patron, Dr L. Chisholm was also the specialist surgeon who worked tirelessly to help Frances.

2012 - Claire and Victoria (Frances daughters) and Maureen (Sister) and Caitlin (Niece) ran the 5K Race for Life and 10K in September and raised over £2300. 

2013- Victoria, Claire, Maureen and Caitlin all took £1500

2014- Claire, Maureen and Caitlin ran the 5K Race for Life in Glasgow £1100. Michael (Claires partner) also took part in Tough Mudder.

2015- Victoria, Claire, Maureen and Caitlin will be again taking part in the 5K Race for Life in Glasgow Green and we are looking to raise as much money as possible. Also Michael has once again signed up for Tough Mudder on the 20th of June.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will make a significant impact on helping the fund raise awareness and improve training to help other patients.
