HELP EDIT, CREATE COVERS & PUBLISH
THE “Q” SERIES of BOOKS
Hi my name is W. Hillman and I like to laugh.
The Adventures of “Q” came to life when our Pomeranian puppy jumped out of the car in the middle of a busy shopping center. After a horrific half hour with us chasing her all over the place, a strange dog appeared out of nowhere leading her back to our car. We felt it was nothing short of a miracle and that she must have had a guardian angel watching over her. Have you ever wondered how an animal or child wanders off at the worst possible moment only to be brought back by a strange animal or unknown person? Why can’t dogs also have guardian angels that watch over and protect them as well as us?
What if Canine Guardian Angels are sent from heaven to solve a problem, save a life or help a town get safely out of the way of greed? What if there is a lot of laughter along the way as they outsmart bad people?
I’m writing the “Q” series of books. The first two have been completed and now need editing, covers and promotion.
“Q” is a Canine Pomeranian Angel like this little bundle of love.
The first book – “Q’s” Human Fate – has “Q” visiting earth with a human guardian angel sent to observe. The mission? Save a man from himself. It’s not that he’s a bad man, he just hates dogs, his brother and any type of situation that is complicated or confrontational. He had only one interest. Make more money. When he has an accident, heaven doesn’t know what to do with him. If he’s to enter the kingdom his errors must be erased. How can “Q” possibly accomplish the impossible? The fun starts when “Q” must impersonate a human, avoid capture from crazy security guards and reunite a family.
The second book – “Q’s” Holiday Completion – “Q” is sent earthbound when an emergency mission arises – he must save a toy manufacturer, staffed by autistic personnel, from going out of business. This means stopping a greedy woman and her three hired thugs from crushing the heart and soul of the small town. Knuckles, a mutt that looks like this guy, joins “Q” to equalize his mission.
Together, they make their muscular foes pay for their dreadful mistakes, and have a heavenly romp to save the day.
A third book is planned in the series.
I need help! The money will go to pay for final editing, the creation of two imaginative book covers, create a web site for social media, and pitch to publishers or arrange to self publish. “Q” is like the millions of Pomeranians worldwide. His adventures will create laughter and fun. Heaven is the kingdom of paradise, a wondrous land of enchantment, supreme happiness, love and joyfulness – something that awaits us all.
A little bit of backstory and what this book series means to me.
Laughter is the key to life. Not everything makes you happy, but when you can read and laugh out loud the world seems to be isolated away from your imagination during your reading experience.
I have worked in the entertainment industry most of my life. Have been involved in film and television development and came away realizing happiness is in short supply and family oriented humor or loving relationships almost nonexistent. At a time when love, peace and happiness are paramount, we need more joy in our lives. We need to be told it’s okay to pray, worry and have a happy ending.
I am a firm believer that we all have a purpose. When I was a young boy a horse kicked me in the head. My life should have ended or, based on the damage, I should have been horribly handicapped. My head had been opened like a sliced watermelon. My family was visiting a farm that offered horseback riding. I wandered off like many kids do, and when I petted the horse it spooked him. The only doctor within fifty miles was a veterinarian. There was no time to discuss the procedure. He operated on a kitchen table, reconstructed the damage to my skull and closed me with one hundred-sixty stitches. Miraculously, I survived. There had to be a guardian angel watching over me, and the veterinarian that day.
As an adult I was involved in an auto accident. My car was T-boned and my bell rang several times. The doctor that examined me asked who did my brain surgery – and when I told him the story he sat down and told me how blessed I was. A fraction of an inch either way would have ended my life. The fact I had no physical or mental damage was beyond his imagination.
There is a reason I smile as often as possible. I give thanks daily for the privilege of being able to walk, talk, function and laugh. I’d like to share that laughter with those that read my books and enjoy the journey I take them on. If I exceed the target goal I intend to create a “Q” and Knuckles plush toy animals. Once they reach the retail market I intend to donate 25% of the profits to autism and various animal charities.
