Proofreading and Script Editing fund

Thank you for reading my fundraising plight. I appreciate any help you can offer me.

For the past six years I have been writing a chick-lit novel called: Living The Life of Helen Riley. It's been a emotional journey and one where doors never seem to open for me. It's given me many sleepless nights on how to make my dream come true. In recent months I decided to go down the script route, which has created suprising results. One episode has already been written, however due to my schooling background I need a great deal of editing support to be able to appoch script agents and production companies. In recent weeks there has been intrest expressed about the story, from Radio Worthy (Glastonbury festival onsite radio) itself. I wish I was in the position to fund the editing. I have saved up a little towards it, still my income is low and it will take ages to save. Things are moving quicker then I expected and interest is growing. Somehow I need to be ready to send of the scrirpt when the time comes.

The Living The Life of Helen Riley

 The story is set in the summer of 1998, while at The Glastonbury music festival in Somerset, UK. Helen and her group of her girlfriends decided to live it up at music festival and forget there troubles at home. Sky one of her friends is dying of cancer and only has months to live creates a wish list: Glastonbury was on top of her list. "Spend one weekend away with her friends at Glastonbury" Helen and her other friend Marie decides to make this happen for Sky. 

The weekend takes an unexpected turn when Helen bumps into a familier face at the festival. Jamie Davis was two or three years older then Helen, they met one summer in 1995, while he worked at upmarket coffee shop in Wimbledon. They knew one another by site, but never spoke. 

During the course of Glastonbury Festival fell for one another, there are pleanty of twist and turns, true love never runs smoothly. Certain factors threaten to wreck everything. Sky has the best time of her life there.

It's a love story that shows young love and how intense feelings can be. As well as the youth element of being twenty-one and free to enjoy music and the great atmostphere Glastonbury offers.

How will the money be spent?

Any help you can offer would be fantasic. The £250 would be used to professional editted the script, by a professional script consultant here in the UK. £200 would pay for the reading and feedback of the script and £50 would go for the treatment process of correcting and amending areas of the script. Philp Shelley (www.script-consultant.co.uk) would be where I send the script. He's a respected script editor, who has work with writers from across the industy on tv scripts.
