About the conference

The AIESEC International Congress has been a landmark coming together of young leaders, diverse nationalities, businesses, ideas, causes and organizations for 65 years now. It brings together the best of thought leaders from across the world to impact a microcosm of the world’s future leaders. In its 65th edition between 16th to 25th August 2013- AIESEC Egypt will host 1000 young leaders from more than 113 countries, thought leaders from the Egyptian corporate and non-corporate sectors, as well as the top management of over 100 companies from around the world converge.

The 65th AIESEC International Congress will be the largest international youth leadership summit ever held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. A celebration of youth leadership and diversity, the conference will focus on the change agent role that the high potential young participants can play in their cities, countries, and most importantly - in the world.

Why this conference is important to me

Firstly, it is a competitive environment to be a delegate and a representative of your country given that this is the biggest conference in our organization. I have been fortunately accepted to be a delegate and a representative of the Philippines. Each country is only allowed to send 8 delegates in this conference.

It is definitely a once in a lifetime experience to represent my country, my university, to have different meaningful and insightful conversations with delegates from all over the world, to share my opinions with the world, to be able to have a chance to network with different global leaders in the non-corporae and corporate world, and to foster better international relations with them. Moreover, only AIESECers who holds the position of President or higher (the national team or the international team) are eligible to attend this conference. Being the president of my university chapter this year, I really do want to bring back this experience to my members and inspire them to keep striving for the peace of fulfillment of humankind's potential and relevant youth leadership.
