This is a newly released Public Service Announcement by Walk With Me Victim Services Canada created to raise awareness to the growing issue of domestic human trafficking.
When Timea Nagy, survivor of human trafficking, realized that there were no services available for police or human trafficked victims, she founded Walk With Me in 2009.
This survivor lead organization, Walk With Me Canada Victim Services provides the only 24/7 mobile victim care, and emergency safe housing for victims of human trafficking in Ontario.
Walk With Me has served over 200 victims and receives a minimum of 400 calls per year to provide assistance to victims, their families and police. 89% of our victims are Canadian who have been exploited in our local communities.
Our emergency safe housing and front line operation costs $180,00.000/ year.  The funding/donations that we have received to date are not enough to keep our safe house open as of May 31, 2013.  Therefore, the $60,000 we are looking to raise are to cover our expenses for our busiest season coming up from June through September 2013. PLEASE watch this video, share it with others and make a donation.  Together WE can make a difference.

  • I have shared this on my Facebook wall and will continue to spread awareness about your work and campaign. Timea, you are an inspiration, not only to survivours but to the whole world. How you could experience something so dark and then dedicate your life to stopping it is amazing. Please continue to fight for the voiceless and know that you are not alone on your journey!! <3

  • Timea I had the pleasure to hear your story for a second time today. I spoke with you a bit when you were done and words can not describe the amount of respect I have for you and what you are doing for others. I hope that you can meet your goal and keep the house running.
