Campaign Story
Giving university student the opportunity to go to Lusaka to using sport to educate, empower, and enrich the lives of young Zambians!
Vision – creating a legacy“To work together to create a legacy through the development of sport for the betterment of lives in Zambia; to create environments that allow the exchange of information, ideas and skills between the UK and Zambia.”
Promise - The Wallace Group Ambition: To work with Sport in Action and its partners to make a significant contribution to the long term, sustainable development of young people in Zambia.
In summer 2017 I will be travelling out to Lusaka to manage the Volunteer Zambia project and want to raise £1000 to help us provide educational sessions in the local community schools and enable us to take extra equipment out for the some of the poorest communities in the city.
This is a project very close to my heart, having been out to Lusaka in a coaching and educator position in 2015. Being given the opportunity to go back in the Project Manager Role is a dream come true and I want to commit as much as I possibly can to what is a life changing project for both the UK students and the young Zambians involved.
The Project is run by 7 UK Universities - Cardiff Met, Northumbria, Stirling, St Andrews, Durham, Loughborough, Bath.
