Campaign Story
Project Light For Our Orphans was truly planted by divine grace. We identify the extreme need for adequate education to be given to children in South Africa who come from severely disadvantaged homes - more specifically, children who are orphaned.
The organisation recruits orphaned and disadvantaged children and places them in schools nationally. Our institution is available to these children as a tuition centre where children are tutored academically to ensure excellent schooling results, regardless of their financial, economic and social background. The institution provides children with psychological help as well as fitness training to keep their minds and bodies in healthy condition. We provide a healthy snack to every child, transportation to and from the centre, and learning material at no cost to the orphanage or foster home. Children who excel academically are sponsored to study free of charge at Edu-build Development Teacher's College. We also train older children about culture and communication and the skills required when applying for jobs.
Because the organisation does not require payment from orphan homes, we run on public funding. Your contribution would go towards changing the lives of a small handful of the 3.7 million orphaned children in South Africa. We are a registered NPO and division of Edu-build Development. Please, don't hesitate to better the world you live in.
