Jesus Educational Trust (JET) comprises a shelter and school which provides a home and education to handicapped and abandoned/orphaned children. The couple, Rajah and Josephine, have invested their lives into JET and do all they can do provide for these children. However, during this COVID-19 period, schools have been ordered to close and this has resulted in zero income.
They have made a decision to farm crops to sustain themselves and hopefully be able to make a profit out of it. The government has a electrical scheme that allows farmer to have a lifetime of electrical supply for farming if they are able to make a payment of S$4,500. The additional S$500 is to supply the resources and manpower needed for the installation of the electrical supply. This would drastically reduce their monthly electricity bill. You may refer the news article for more information on the recent budget allocated for this scheme which they hope to submit an application for. https://www.business-standard.com/article/economy-...
The application for the scheme will happen some time between September and October.
We are raising funds to help them make payments for the scheme and the resources needed for the installation. We would be helping them to make a living. Every Donation Counts.
