Police officer relief fund

I am officer John dunning, formerly of the Baldwin Louisiana police department. On December 31, 2014 I was forced to resign my position as patrolman because of a traffic stop conducted involving a city council member.  While on duty monitoring traffic, I observe a vehicle traveling at 23 mph over the speed limit in an area where school children were being dropped off and picked up. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver got out of the vehicle and started towards my patrol unit in a threatening manner and yelling obscenities at me. I had to order the councilmen back into his vehicle six times befoee he complied. At the time I was not aware he was a councilman. He was asked for his credentials, and issued a verbal warnin to slow down. No citation was issued. He immediately went to the police department and informed the  chief the city council wanted my reaignTion or I would be terminated. to avoid being fired, I did turn in my resignation. Now I am losing my home. I am the father of two beautiful girls, 2 and 8. I have to raise 3000 by March 1st or we will lose our home. I cannot draw I employeyment as the city is also disputing it, sayin I quit of my own free will.  I have been hired by another agency but will not receive a paycheck in time to save our home, nor can I apply for a loan as I am still in the hiring process. I served 8 years in tre marines with two tours in Iraq and have never asked forNy help  I have to now. Not for me but for mchildren. Thank you and god bless.
