Cancer Treatment

We are a pensioner couple located on the south coast of South Africa. My husband recently underwent a six and a half hour operation to remove cancer tumours from his skull and mouth. He now has to undergo 30 days of radiation treatment. We live 120kms from the radiation clinic and cannot afford to travel that distance on a daily basis.

He can get accommodation at a cancer care centre located close to the clinic. However, they require payment of R50 per day. Although this amount is minimal, we do not have the funds for this accommodation as we only both receive a grant from social services. Any contributions towards this accommodation fee would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately he cannot start his treatment until we can afford the accommodation, so this is rather urgent.
