In September 2013 I am hoping to attend the School of Ministry at Catch The Fire, Toronto, Canada,  to participate in their 5 month program; The Heart Module, running from September 3rd, 2013 to January 31st, 2014 and I need your help to send me there!

What is it?

The School of Ministry is a spiritual development program consisting of lectures, prayer ministry, outreach and rest time. Its a time to get real with God, get real with life, and make a real difference in the world around you.  The Heart module is for young adults aged 18-35 who are passionate about God and want to go deep in intimacy with him. Go deep in a really-hear-him, really-feel-him, really-know-him kind of a way.

Transformation

Class-time at the School of Ministry is all about being impacted at a heart level, bringing you into revelation, changing you and empowering you to live with passion.

The first month of classes is the Core Value Month. These are the core values and beliefs of Catch The Fire and fundamentals for personal transformation!

• Moving in the Prophetic

Impartation

In the next 3 month phase of the school I hope to enjoy a wide range of speakers who will inspire, challenge, minister and impart  the passion that they carry. This is a time of vision and dreams being birthed and of stepping into the calling to walk into your destiny. Common topics include: Intimacy with God, Boundaries, How to flow in the Anointing, Physical Healing, Intimacy, Honour and Prophetic Evangelism.

Activation

At the School of Ministry they believe in learning by doing; so they give you lots of hands-on practical ministry training and experience. I'll get the chance to be involved in the wider ministry life of Catch The Fire including their local church campuses, healing rooms, prophetic teams, children's work, homeless mission and international conferences.

After the four month teaching and equipping phase, there is a 3 week outreach. This is the time to step out on the water and put into practice all the stuff I will have been learning! So many of their students report that they experienced incredible growth and breakthrough, when they were on outreach giving away what they had received. They send outreach teams all over the world, past destinations have included: Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Sweden, France, Germany, California (USA), England, Mozambique, Ireland, Finland, Alabama (USA), Haiti, Vancouver Island (Canada) and many more.

Why am I doing it? 

Since the beginning of the year I have felt that I would be going on a journey by the end of the year that would prove to be life changing. Since I was desperate to start going on mission trips I assumed it would be something of this nature, but it would seem God has other plans for me. The past of couple of years have been turbulent to say the least, I have experienced divorce, miscarriages, un-employment, moving to a city where I didn’t know anyone all within 3 months of each other. All my worst fears came to pass in one big fireball of turmoil and I didn’t know if I was coming or going I was just heartbroken and it took all the strength I had to cling to God and believe that everything I was going through was for a greater purpose and I would be a better person for it. Anyone who has gone through trials and extensive battles will know that God will be faithful and bring us through and heal us through the process but scars can sometimes remain and these scars can remind us of the things we have lost and the disappointments we carry.

I’m a firm believer that God doesn’t leave his work half finished and he wants to completely heal and restore us so that we can live in total freedom and authority into the destiny that He has for us. For me I believe that this means taking 5 months out of my life and investing it into an environment seeking the Father heart of God and allowing him to fully remove all the remaining hurt, brokenness and disappointment I carry. That’s not to say I haven’t received any of these things so far because I have in an amazing way and I have grown in so many ways and been healed of so much, but where I was once in a long dark tunnel with no hope and full of despair I can now see that I’m about to come through it all together and begin to walk in the fullness of everything God has for me.

Some of you might be asking why I need to go to Canada, there are plenty of good places where you are. My answer to that would be you need to be where God has appointed you to be at that time because that is where the right people will be at the right time and where His anointing will be for you to receive all that you need from Him. It’s just fortunate for me, that this is Canada! But this is a step of faith for me and I mean it’s one of those times where you feel like you’re jumping off a cliff with no parachute and you feel like your stomach is in your mouth kind of times. I’m no stranger to moving out in faith, I moved to Sheffield in faith that God would restore my marriage and whilst that didn’t happen, I’m living proof that when you move and do things in faith and obedience God will catch you and not fail you, I moved believing it was for one reason but in fact it was to establish me in a church that is fundamental to my calling and destiny.  Sometimes even if we don’t understand or have the means to do what God is asking us to do we need to step out in obedience and say yes I’ll do it and even if we get it wrong sometimes he is a re-warder of faith.

So here I am stepping out in faith again; I have given up my house and am now living with friends and I’ve given notice on my job which I’m due to finish on the 26th August in total faith that God is going to provide one way or another to enable me to go to Canada and believe me I have had my moments of panic about this! Fortunately I have good people around me who also believe that this is a moment set aside by God where I can just focus totally on Him as my Father and truly know the father heart of God for my life.

So far I have paid the deposit but I need help to raise the money to pay for flights, the tuition fees, living costs, travel insurance and vaccinations
