Please help my husband, Ádám with Operation Expenses!

Hi, my name is Veronika Tóth from Hungary and I'm fundraising for my husband's knee surgery.

14th of March, Ádám had a ski accident in Austria. Unfortenetley he fell on his right knee, which was already operated 10 years ago. He had big pain, but he was able to ski until the ski lift, which took him down to the ski center. He was able to walk slowly, so he did not go to the doctor. He had travel insurance which was valid for skiing, but as he was able to walk he decided to rest.

After returning to Hungary, he went to public hospital where he went through X-rays. He was told that he should take care for 6 weeks, he should skip doing sports.

As the time passed, his knee did not get better, therefore he went to a private Medical Clinic in Budapest, to Emineo Clinic. The doctor immediatley sent him to MRI scan, and afterwords Ádám was told that he has a torn liagement in his knee. In addition, the doctor realized that Ádám has no cartilage in his knee which is very severe problem.

24th of April Ádám was told that an operation should take place mid May and the price of the operation is 3,7 million HUF (approx 9900 EUR / 10940 USD). We were shocked about the price, and we are still under shock. This price is so high because it is a very rare operation due to the cartliage missing, and the elastic materials and surgery costs are extremley high. Unfortenetley this operation cannot be done in public hospital, only in private clinic.

Adam contacted the insurance company when he received the information about the upcoming surgery. The insurance company said that they would have only paid medical cost in Austria while he stayed there. Unfortunetley, they do not cover medical costs now, even if the accident happened while he was in Austria and he had insurance.

25th of April, Adam had his birthday. In case you would like to support Adam' surgery and/or give hime a birthday present, any financial support is more than welcome. Every penny counts.

Just to give an estimation about the surgery price, Hungarian average salary is brut 528.023 HUF (1414 EUR//1561 USD, https://tradingeconomics.com/hungary/wages), while his knee operation will cost 3,7 million HUF.

Any support is more than welcome. We will appreciate everything, and we hope to go to the clinic mid May and we hope that Adam can go to the operation and everything will be alright, so one day Ádám can walk normally.
