Please help my 1 year plus bunny to continue to see this beautiful world

Just wanna update that we tried seeking second and third options so y’all can relate the situation better.
We tried a few other vets, including the low profile vet that was recommended by someone here – Vet Affinity (Dr Kris) hoping to bring down the surgery cost however we were referred back to Beecroft as they’re the vet specialist in this field.

If it’s only a cataract, we would probably leave it as other people do, but there are pus stuck and it accumulates in the left eye which is very toxic and might catch further complications. We only left with these few days so I really hope this thread can get more awareness. I understand that times are really bad now, but if you are unable to contribute, I would appreciate it if you can share this post so it can reach out to people who are willing and able to help can have this opportunity.

We have him since Jan 2021 and he have been a very active, happy bun bun. A very nice companion that we always wished for.

My husband noticed some white-ish thing on his left eye a couple of months back, he called up a few vets unfortunately the appointments are all fully packed. We only manage to get an appointment after one month ++.

Okie the day has finally came but it’s also a miserable one for us. He has developed cataract on his left eye and it’s getting worst as there is pus forming and all stuck in the eye. We were told that his left eye had turned partially blind and the situation is not looking good.

He would need a surgery asap, they have scheduled an urgent eye surgery for him on 14 March as there is still about 65 percent chances that cereal will be able to see again. However, we were informed that the surgery would cost between $5K to $6K and it is seriously too much for me to afford in such a short period.

If left untreated, Cereal might turn completely blind on his left eye or in worse case scenerio, having to remove his left eye. He is only 1 year plus old and he still has a long long way to go.

Cereal is a very sweet little boy who is always happily binky around and he is always working so hard to earn his treats. He brings me and our family so much joy. I really don’t have the heart to have him blind when he still have the chance to see.
