Please help me to replace my stolen cameras!

A photographer without a camera is like a yin without a yang, or a workmen without his tools! I had my equipment stolen today in Paris - A Nikon D3100 camera with a 18-55lens  and a JVC Everio HD camcorder.  They were in my camera bag which was with the rest of my belongings.   We had just arrived in Paris and we needed the restrooms pretty urgently,  and like you do,  we left our belongings with the other person whilst we went to use the facilities,  and my friend was distracted by somebody asking for directions and in that 5 second time they were able to take my camera bag and his rucksack with his passport in, a GoPro camera, and an Ipad amongst a bunch of other stuff..   He was meant to fly home to California tomorrow but he cant since the US embassy is closed on weekends!  So we are both now electronically challenged and he is stuck in Paris!   As you can imagine, this is a big blow to what was a wonderful holiday   FORTUNATELY I do have a copy of all the data that was on my cameras as I transferred that only an hour earlier to my netbook which I still have!    But unfortunately now I have no equipment to take photogrpahs with for the rest of my trip apart from a cell phone which is an older model and the pictures are'ok' but nothing wonderful. Please help me make this blow a little less by helping to raise some money for me to replace this equipment as soon as possible,  especially the Nikon D3100.  Even if I do not make all the money and have to pay most of it,  to know that some of my friends and family or even strangers have helped me as much as they can that would mean the world to me.   My camera is often my eyes, as I can see things through it using it like a telescope, that I would not normally see, or see as a blurred image through my own eyes I also enjoy photography very much and it feels like I have lost one of my senses without it Thank you  for your time, and if you choose to help me today,  an extra big thank you to you for making this less painful for me and to enjoy the remaining time I have here in Paris
