Campaign Story
Introduction
My life has been rough, like most people I know. I wish I could help others but I can't afford to help and sustain myself, let alone my husband, two kids, and eight year old dog who hasn't been to the vet in a couple of years because we can't afford it.
Issues
I suffer from multiple physical, emotional, and mental illness. Some of which include PTSD, depression, severe social anxiety, chronic body pain (multiple car accidents since age 11), and migraines. All of these and more contribute to my inability to keep a typical job.
I can't stand, walk or sit in one place for long periods of time. My family is primarily dependent on my husband's low paying part time job, which might as well be on-call. I want to help him with the bills, the housework, the kids, and my dog. Again, I am bad off physically, which makes me look for other means of paying bills or being able to contribute. Our car insurance is almost up for renewal in a couple of weeks (3/5/19) and I doubt we will be able to pay them. Meaning we will have to stop driving the car and suspend our registration to avoid penalties with the DMV. Our internet bill has skyrocketed due to our provider limiting the amount of data we use per month in our house. It's our only connection to the outside world.
When I was a teenager, I made some poor decisions that have left me with giant cavities in front of my mouth. I don't smile (at least not open mouth). I want to have confidence to go up to anyone and greet them with a smile of healthy teeth.
If you choose to help me, I will be sure to document everything here. My crowns for my teeth will cost $700 per tooth. Deep Cleaning is $370. Not sure how much anesthesia will be to keep me under, but it would be necessary to keep me from having a panic attack or elevated stress levels (having heart trouble lately).
After a new smile, I'd like to get lasik surgery performed on my eyes so that my vision is corrected and I don't have to depend on glasses or contact lenses anymore. They're expensive and my vision has worsened over time.
The Plan
With my new smile and eyes in toe, I will be able to feel better and more optimistic about life and it's future prospects. I hope this will encourage me to get out of the house more, apply for jobs although they make me cringe, and even get started branding myself for my ultimate goal- to become a successful voice actress.
