Please help me and my family.

Merry Christmas everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank and appreciate everyone’s effort to help me and my family members. I am married with a beautiful daughter. I am embarrassed in what I am doing right now but I am already at my wits end. Despite numerous attempts to seek help for my current situation, it was to no avail.

My life has not been a smooth sailing one and a shaky ones. First of all, I do not have a qualification with a job pays me well. I am currently back to work, working as a delivery driver.

Ever since my daughter was born, I have been working hard, sometimes doing up to 15hours of work. However, things starts to change for the worst last year, somewhere around June. I met a old friend and he told me to invest in a massage parlour. Business weren’t good during COVID period and I used up most of my savings. I was too naive as I was new into business venture. Subsequently, I went to take up loans from various licensed moneylenders whenever there is a need in cash flow. My limit was over when I told them I couldn’t continue in this business and little did I know, I was conned by my friend. He was actually the owner of the massage parlour. I had been helping him to pay off his overdue rental while I was kept in the dark.

Prior to this, I have been paying off my wife’s credit card debt. (UOB) I was given a discounted repayment scheme after negotiating with the bank manager and applying for a debt repayment scheme with the bank. I took up the credit card loan because I was enthusiastic about the crypto and forex world. In the end, I made a huge losses and that is why I have been working up to 15 hours a day.

Currently with the new licensed moneylender loans, I tried applying for Debt Repayment Scheme (DRS) but I could not get it because I do not have a stable job. There are some moneylender guys came up to my place to send me a notice to pay up otherwise they will sue me to the court.

It was until recently I brought it up with my wife and she was so disappointed in how I manage my finance. I could tell she was really disappointed and I have no other ways to go to. There are so many things on our plates now and we are trying our best to salvage the situation we are in now. As much as I do not want to bother my wife, I have been assuring her that everything is fine. But now I couldn’t take the stress that I am in already.

The urgent ones are licensed moneylenders, credit card bills and BTO. Meanwhile, I am back into my delivery job. I know I should be ashamed for what I have done but I really do want to have a chance to start all over my life again.

I am already at my wits end as the moneylenders are chasing non stop and there is no other way other than this. I do not want to be sued as it will affect my wife’s and daughter’s ones too. Look at how many months of moneylenders payment I survived. This was really the last straw.
