Pilgramage to India

Hello supporters!My name is Kevin Clark, I am a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I'm in my 5th semester and have had the pleasure of learning Piano and Bass at the school along with Double-Majoring in Jazz Composition/Film Scoring. To know a little more about me, you can check out the band I started my first semester at school that even got signed to Berklee's Record label Jazz Revelations Records. As my journey through music becomes even more turbulant with so much money and sacrafice on the line, I have luckily been able to look to God for much of my strength so far. I have always been a believer in fate leading you where you want to be most, and this passed year my goal has been to use music to bring myself and others closer to God. Well, this Christmas I had the pleasure of meeting Rishi Prabhakar, on of my family member's Guru from India and all around positive soul (His school and following can be found at www.ssy.org) . Immediatley when I started talking to him I knew I had alot to learn from him. With my approach to religion which is one of open discovery regardless of church, I opened myself to his words and they filled me with joy and a light which connected me to God. After getting to know him a little more, he has extended an offer for myself to go to India and study music as well as its connection to God. I feel a calling to my heart that brings me to Bombay India this summer to discover music, God, myself and just it is how they all tie together. Unfortunatley my Loan status for school (Berklee is a $50,000/year school and is known for being financially ruthless) is pretty scary to look at so to drop the $1100 I need for my round trip ticket would be near impossible for my loving mother and father to help with. So with that I'm putting my faith in God that he will, threw the compassion and help of people around the world, bring me closer to my dream of helping making the world a better place for everyone. I plan on putting together a Blog and possibly a small documentary about my journey, so those who help would be able to follow along on a regular basis.Once again thank you very much for reading and helping me achieve my dreams
