Building Laboratory to Treat the Impoverished of Allergies / Secondary Asthma

Pediatric Allergy Solutions LLC is now accepting donations for a molecular proteomic allergy laboratory to be built at their Chadds Ford Headquarters.

This lab will be used in our United States Humanitarian Efforts Plan to help treat impoverish demographics of their allergies and secondary asthma.

PROGRAM:

TEST:

A new FDA cleared finger stick blood test has been developed which tests for 180 allergens vs. an average of 40-50 allergens on a scratch test. Using only 5 drops of blood on the dry blood card and using the next-generation molecular proteomic test technology, Healthcare Providers can now measure the patient's progress in about 4-5 business days. The sensitivity and specificity of this test is measured at over 95% accurate. The new finger stick blood test is extremely accurate and sensitive compared to an average 30% false positive / false negative rate from scratch testing.

TREATMENT:

The solution is Oral Mucosal Immunotherapy (OMIT). OMIT is delivered using Allerdent®, a specialized pharmocologic toothpaste base formulated to incorporate and stabilize natural allergy immunotherapy extracts. The serum allergy immunotherapy extracts are the same compounds used in SLIT (sublingual immunotherapy).

The oral mucosa is a natural site of immune tolerance and is effective in binding antigenic serum in toothpaste without hypersensitivity reactions or side effect. Because the treatment is safe, therapy is started at the maintenance level; therefore, many patients start feeling better within 2 months, as apposed to up to a year. Once a patient has their results they may have discussions with their Healthcare Provider about receiving a prescription so they may may begin brushing their teeth at home vs. receiving a weekly shot or taking unpleasant tasting drops under your tongue.
