Pay off ER medical bill cause can’t get Medi-Cal

In June 2011 I started having serious problems with my lower body functions.  I couldn't hold down food or it would make me sick easily.  That has continued and now I get dizzy easily, can't always stand upright due to pain, and now I don't go out anymore.  I don't own a car and haven't been able to work since the recession because at that same time I was in the hospital for blood clots in my lungs and recovery from that.

I tried to sign up for Medi-Cal (free goverment medical) in September 2011, but found out it could take over 6 months to hear back and more than likely because I'm a single person in my 20s I won't get approved anyway!  So from that time to May of this year I suffered and went from about 200 lbs to now 102 pounds without even trying, and no I don't do any form of drugs.  In May I got a letter saying I wasn't approved and would have to wait on getting a hearing to fight the rejection.  I think the stress of that triggered something because right after I started having severe pains on my right side which got so bad by May 30 a friend had to drive me to the closest hospital ER.  Problem is it's not free.  The so called free clinics here in LA aren't really free, they only take people who have already registered with them and they don't take walk ins!  The county hospital near me is over 20 miles away and the wait time can be upward of a day because of the amount of people!  My friend stayed with me with I was at the ER til I was released at 3am even though he had to get up for work at 6am!  What ticked me off was that the doctor I saw at the ER didn't really do any useful tests, just said I had some kinda bowel problem and sent me home with a prescription for pain killers!  After 2 days the pain went away only to return on my left side worse than ever.  I suffered through the pain til I got to the point where I wasn't holding anything down, not even a sip of water.  I was terribly dehydrated and malnurished by June 23 when another friend took me back to the same ER but this time I got a doctor who wanted to help, did a bunch of tests and scans and I was able to get a basic diagnosis of what is wrong.  The problem is more tests need to be run, but the ER can't do them.  So now I have this HUGE bill from both times at the ER and I don't need the stress of them contacting me for the money which I don't have.  I can't work cause the problem is still here til more can be done, if it can, and because of my issues I'm completely broke, can't even afford a bus, which I can't even get to as the closest bus stop is over a mile away and I have a hard time walking my dad's apartment.

I really need help and any money given I will be greatful for!!
