Pay medical and college bills

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.  I am writing this request to explain our unfortunate set of circumstances that have caused us great hardship on our financial obligations.  We have done everything in our power to make ends meet, but unfortunately we have fallen short, and must ask for your consideration with your cash donation.  Our goal is to keep our home, and we would truly appreciate the opportunity to do that.

The main reason for us to be in this position was our relocation to California in 2008.  We anticipated cost of living adjustments, but not to this magnitude for our family of four.  Our current home is upside down, and have no equity.  Our 10 years if savings is completely gone, in addition, our 18 year son Denzel will be entering college Fall of 2014. I, Maria was diagnosed with pulmonary emboli and ventiular fibrillation in 2010 which caused me to be off work for approximately 6 months and currently on intermittent leave when my sypmtoms flare-up.  Medical co-pays and prescription out of pocket expenses are piling up and have to use credit cards to make payments.  Our parents, who live in San Francisco, had major health condition just before our relocation in 2008.  This caused us time and money to care for them, traveling to and from Washington State.  My mother in-law a had large cystic mass in her liver that required an emergency removal, and 6 weeks of postoperative home care.  My father in-law then had an emergency appendectomy that bursed which required 6 weeks of home-care as well.  Soon after, we realized that our income was not nearly enough.  We had fallen further and further behind.  We were using our credit cards to pay medical bills, property tax, food, gas, and mortgage.  Now with our credit cards maxed out, we are at the point where we cannot afford to pay what is owed to our creditors and mortgage.  It is our full intention to pay what we owe.  However, at this time, we have exhausted all of our income and resources.  We are turning to this organization for financial help. 

     We sincerely request your understanding to our financial situation, and truly hope that you will consider your cash donation.  We are anxious to find a solution that will work for our family.
