Pay debt to qualify for a mortgage

How selfish of me to ask for help to buy my first house. Work harder, some might say. Well, I am an adjunct instructor at a university and a community college, and work full-time for a wonderful nonprofit (with part-time pay) that deals with human rights. I do what I love and what I am best at, but the pay isn't great. I could really use some help to pay down my debt so that I can qualify for a mortgage. However, I am not going to advertise this to any of my friends or family, so I completely rely on strangers. Yes, I have a pride issue and do not wish my Facebook friends to know that I am struggling financially. Let's see if this works.
