Help for Patrick Manz!

On May 16, 2023, the life that I knew changed for the worst. My husband was coming home from work on his motorcycle. He had the right of way but as he started enter the intersection, he was hit head on by a woman driving a Honda who ran a red light.

He was airlifted to Ryder Jackson Memorial Trauma Center where he remains in stable but critical condition. He has several fractures for which he needs surgery not limited to but including his pelvis and spine. For now, he remains sedated and on a breathing ventilator. His mental acuity has not been able to be assessed since he is on medium to heavy sedation. He has a long road to recovery.

I have had to stop working temporarily to be available for any emergency that may arise and complete tasks relating to his accident. My work involves 10 to 12 hour shifts and leaving for emergencies is not possible.

Our two family income has now been reduced to no income due to no fault of our own. We are going through the proper channels to receive short term and long term disability. Additionally, we are exploring compensation that may help with medical bills not covered by insurance. The expenses of traveling back and forth to the trauma center from North Lauderdale to support Patrick is also costly.

We need financial help to transition from this abrupt disruption in finances to pay our current bills, the added medical expenses (treatment and rehabilitation), maintain our home, and other costs related to the accident . Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
