Pat desperately needs help!

My friend, Pat who is living in Australia, just got a saddening confirmation from his doctor last Friday, 11th Nov, that he has stomach cancer stage 3.

The news blew me away, since i know him for a very long time until now, more than 10 years.

I am deeply saddened. What is so sad in his case is that he has nobody around him. He is coping with this completely alone.

10 years ago, when i got to know him, he was working for a non-profit organization in Viet Nam, helping the people with special circumstances: people with HIV/AIDS, patients who dealing with serious diseases in hospitals, people living in rehabilitation center... 10 years later, now he is the one who needs help and has none so far from any source.

He was originally a father of two. Since his divorce, he has been kept away from seeing his chilren by his ex-wife in Thailand. Being a person with such a big heart and compassions for the others, that allowed him to do the job he did but also brought him completely to the bottom of darkness, when he was not allowed to see his own children, whom he loves with all his heart. He went down the slope, living with depression since then. He could manage to work but any job he got can never last long, 3-week job, 4-week job... He is broke and his health got worse. Plus this news...

In Australia, he is having a governmental health insurance but its priority is to cover the treatment for cancer patients who is diagnosed in earlier stage. So his case will not be considered. His doctor prescribed him a treatment procedure but it will cost so much as AU$ 29 000.

On his behalf, i am reaching out to you, asking for help, each cent for him matters. For his treatment can NOT even start without your help!!!

With stage 3 of cancer, he still has a chance! PLEASE!!!

I am doing this because i can not live with the fact that he might be gone forever without even beeing able to meet his children again since the age of 7 and 4, now they are 17 and 14.

Please let your heart speaks and help my friend to receive the treatment that he needs.
