Over the past three years, having battled a difficult divorce, lost several family members and then the ultimate whack of losing my mother, i still did it and graduate this year with a 1st Class Honours Degree. It has been hard, really hard, in fact the hardest three years of my life! But i stuck in there, not just for myself but for my son and his future!
Having a passion to work with people catch up in Criminal Justice System I have recently applied for the next intake to my dream job, to sadly learn that my degree is missing two core modules that would enable me to apply for the post.
This is what i received:
I have completed the informal assessment and can confirm you have been awarded the following core knowledge modules;
Criminal Justice Systems Awarded L5 CJ & punishment 15 credits Combined with L4&6 Policing; L6 Sex Crimes & CJ
Crime and Criminal behaviour Awarded L5 Criminological theory 15 Credits Combined with Contemporary criminological issues15 credits & L5 Criminology research 15 credit
Penology and Punishment of offenders Not Awarded
Rehabilitation of Offenders Not Awarded
As you are aware, you need 3 or more of the core knowledge modules to apply to NOMS for the PQiP. You can purchase and complete the outstanding units with the University of Portsmouth.
The modules cost £425 each and all teaching is online. The units are all 20 credits which equates to 200 hours of study and are assessed through essays and online exercises. The modules are designed to be extremely flexible so that you can go at your own pace with them.
The application process opens the 31st of October 2016, as long as i enrol the window of opportunity will be opened to me and as you can see i only need to complete one of them..
To raise these funds would be amazing! All help would be fully appreciated...
