Hi welcome to my fundraiser

How many young teenagers do you see with nothing to do, it could be boredom that as increased minor acts of vanadlism that requires local councils to pay for clean up or repair, how often does a young teenager suffer an injury because of horseplay. How many parents have spent time at a&e or worrying about there sons/daughters whereabouts.   With many youth clubs closing or already closed, the local park ,street corner, bus station,  anywhere that is suitable, these have become the area's that they use to socialise, not ideal in some cases, older people sometimes feel threatened or cautious about coming into contact with groups of boisterous teenagers.

We have been trying to help this situation by putting on events like band nights, pool competitions and also tried to involve as many as possible with the organising, and been surprised at the results and there pride when it all works, we don't feel as this will fix everything we are hoping it will alleviate some, and the more we get involved hopefully the more pride in there achievements they will feel.

The down side is we have to hire venue's from other parties and consequently all the profits go to the venue with very little left to organise the next one,  we would like to give the bands that perform a little cash bonus sometimes, although they don't mind as being able to perform live with an audience to gain experience is mainly the only payment they require, we do make sure that there is a good sound engineer and stage manager to help, and try to keep the cost of entry to an afforadable level so that we can cater for most teenagers pockets usually around £3-£4 we would much prefer to lease a venue of our own, everyone likes the idea but sadly no one as any grants or funding to help

To aggravate things 3 or more teenagers are now classed as a gang and are constantly being moved from one area to another by local police, mainly because of the few that have committed acts of vandalism in one form  or another.  Over the last few months a number of young teenagers have ended thier lives ,  this is a sad thing to be happening and happening far too often , what we are trying to achieve may help a little please donate if you can,  if we could get  people to help by donating as little as the cost of a can of pop or a cheese burgher we would be able to lease a venue of our own with the prospect of holding more events and helping to free the police that patrol our town to police more urgent matters, and increase the confidence of some young people who may not think they are good enough or clever enough, we believe that any achievement is a good thing no matter how small.

Please help if you can

we will update and post pictures etc from the events we organise so that people can see we are trying our best to make a difference
