Q & A Dialogue for Adopt an Orphan Arabia Initiative

SZL-Do the orphans live in Jeddah with adoption families or in a facility?

M-The orphans live in Jeddah with other family members. Aunts or distant family/friends.

SZL-Each orphan requires SAR 1,500 / month for school and care?

M-Each orphan requires SAR 1000 for school fees, SAR 500 for daily needs.

SZL-These are Yemeni Ahl Al Bayt orphans who fled from Yemen or from local (born & raised in KSA)?

M-They are born in Jeddah, never been To yemen but are of Yemeni origins but like many they don’t have Saudi Citizenship. Hence, why school isn’t free.

SZL-Approximately how many orphans require monthly assistance

A) Ahl Al Bayt orphans

B) non Ahl Al Bayt orphans

M-Not sure about this yet, but I believe it's a lot. There are many like this in Saudi.

SZL-Can sponsor families keep in touch with the orphan they sponsor?

M-They can sometimes. The only issue with that, is that my aunt is doing all this on her own and can’t always keep track of everyone’s orphan, also some of them are quite private people /ashamed.

SZL-We will create a campaign page and all info will help in case people have questions and would like to support.
