Raising money to help in the building of a new orphanage in Abuja Nigeria for a 130 orphaned and displaced children due to the violence commited by Boko Haram in the North of the country.

The Clementine foundation is a non profit organization operating in Abudja Nigeria and New York city under the umbrella of Masjid Khalil Rauf Abdullah a registered 501c3 non profit. It is the culmination of work done by the Association of spouses of heads of mission or AOSOHOM in Abudja Nigeria. Clementine Didja Brahim joined her husband Issa Brahim the Chadian ambassador of Chad in Abudja in 2014 where she became a new member of AOSOHOM.

Wanting to leverage the association's reach within the political and economic sphere in Nigeria to help the less fortunate there. She saw an opportunity to do just that when she met Imam Mallam Murtala and found the orphanage and Koranic school that he runs where more than a 130 children now reside. A lot of them displaced and parentless because of the atrocities commited by Boko Haram in their village or town in the last few years. Others are homeless children from the city of Abudja and the surrounding area. The orphanage a large single room in a run down neighborhood in the outskirts of the capitol Abudja is all the children have as a place to call home. There they sleep on the floor, study and eat the little bit of food they can find on the street or through donations.

Working with the other ambassdor wives Clementine initiated a project to help these children. Fundraising with the other women they have raised money to buy new rugs for the school, clothing, food on a more consistent basis and paying for job training for 5 older children so far aged 15 to 17 in tailoring and embroidery who will soon be too old to reside at the orphanage and will need to be able to provide for themselves.

The women of AOSOHOM are extremely dedicated to this cause and are working tirelessly to fundraise for these orphaned and displaced children. The aim of the Clementine foundation is to help AOSOHOM in its quest to build a new 2 story building to house and feed and clothes up to 300 children as well as a school. This facility will be known henceforth as the Bright Future Orphanage.
