Welcome to the K999OAPS Money Pot
We are a welfare fund being set up to raise money to help with veterinary costs for the retired police dogs of Warwickshire & West Mercia Police Forces.
When police dogs retire their owners become responsible for all costs for the dogs.
Police dogs do not retire with a pension package.
To obtain insurance cover for ex police dogs can be difficult as many companies will not insure these dogs it can also be very expensive for minimal cover.
This is due to the age of a dog when it retires, possible medical conditions and the fact that they have been a police dog.
This means that quite often the owners have no help towards veterinary costs.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
By raising money that can be used to contribute towards veterinary costs for the retired police dogs.
Work in partnership with assorted companies, vets and animal related services to obtain discounts for retired police dogs.
