Homeless Bus, Inc. is extremely excited to share that we have organized a fabulous fundraiser, OPERATION SLEEPING BAG, and we need YOUR help! As you know, each Saturday night, for the last 22 years, Homeless Bus, Inc. heads into New York City, feeding 200 homelees individuals who live on the streets of Manhattan. The last couple of winters in NYC have been hit hard by snow, so in preparation for the upcoming winter season, we would like to provide each of our 200 friends with a sleeping bag that will be both warm and waterproof. Thanks to the support of Sports Authority, we will be able to make our goal a reality! To achieve this goal, we are seeking monetary donations. Our goal is $5,000.00 and needs to be reached by October 31, 2014 at the very latest. Please note that ALL donations will 100% be allocated to support our cause. If you, your family, friends, business and/or organization would like to help OPERATION SLEEPING BAG, we would be ever so grateful! Update posted by Anna Landgrebe at 07:46 amAlthough this fundraiser was not supposed to end until October 31st, we have chosen to end it today instead, as we have raised the $5,000 (through online and offline donations) we were hoping for, and can now purchase 200 sleeping bags for the homeless that we serve in NYC.
